THE HISTORY OF LA DESVELADA

The Vision

Los Angeles residents Isaac Campos and Orange County impresario, Jaime Munoz, founded the original La Desvelada concept in 2003.

The core vision of La Desvelada continues: Deliver a unique and unforgettable event with the highest quality of production; introduce new concepts and ideas to our loyal Rock y Pop family, create fresh concepts that will always push the envelope for quality events.

For the past 8 years, La Desvelada has made history as Southern California’s largest Latino New Years Eve event. This celebration has spread like wildfire. This event features top performers from around the world promising to deliver a magical night filled with unforgettable memories.

The Park Plaza NYE 2004

In our first year, this innovative event took place in the historical & legendary Park Plaza Hotel, situated in the heart of Los Angeles. This venue provided us with 3 massive rooms, an enormous patio and a magnificent lobby that completed a spectacular night for 3,500 attendees. This event was a complete success. After this glorious night, the event became well known as “the unforgettable La Desvelada”

The Queen Mary NYE 2005

For the second year, La Desvelada was hosted at the magnificent Queen Mary ship, located in the Long Beach harbor. This location provided partygoers with a spectacular panoramic view of the city skyline of Downtown Long Beach and the Marina. The event had an attendance of 6,500 guests. The area dedicated to the countdown of La Desvelada accommodated 2,600 guests, not counting the 500 guests outside the ship hoping to get in. This innovative event contributed for the Queen Mary to have one of the most successful New Year Eve events in nearly a decade.

The Queen Mary NYE 2006

Once again the event took place inside the magnificent and historical Queen Mary. This very special night was filled with magic and fantasy, designed in a Las Vegas style setting. With the collaboration of our team of producers, choreographers and coordinators, we delivered an unforgettable night to welcome the New Year with an elegant and sexy bang.

The Queen Mary NYE 2007

This was the last time we hosted La Desvelada at the beautiful Queen Mary.  It was perceived as a daunting task to top the prior years success. We were still able to create an intimate and elegant breathtaking event in the Queen Mary’s Grand Salon, a 9,000 square foot area with a soaring 33-foot high ceiling. The luxury room celebrates the grandeur of the Art Deco era with attention to elegance and style. Priceless, original art and a beautiful parquet dance floor. This is by far the most beautiful room on the Queen Mary. This all contributed to creating the setting for yet another unforgettable night filled with dreams and magic.

The Hollywood Palladium NYE 2008

The Hollywood Palladium is a historical theater located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Built in an Art Deco style, it includes an 11,200 square foot dance floor and a second floor mezzanine with room available for up to 4,000 people. NYE 2008 had been the most fantastic La Desvelada to date. With help from an amazing array of circus style performers, aerialists, live acts, and concert style sound and lighting you can see why.  La Desvelada once again proved itself as an evening to remember. As in La Desvelada tradition, our entire event had been decorated according to a different and unique theme. The year of 2008’s theme was a “Winter Masquerade”.

Roc Hollywood VIP NYE 2009

Was held at the most famous intersection known to man, Hollywood & Vine. Located inside of Forbidden City, this Hollywood haven is home to some of the most Hollywood elite movie stars and exclusive events.  We transformed this quaint and cozy place into our most intimate New Years Eve event, as Roc Hollywood VIP.  Just like in years past, this event was sold out. Guests were even demanding more entertainment past the 4am hour!  Magicians, Contortionists, Sexy Go-Go’s, and the best Video Music VJ’s in the Southland.

The Galaxy Theatre NYE 2010

For over 20 years, The Galaxy Theatre has been an Orange County’s historical Live Concert venue.  For that reason the stage was set for La Desvelada NYE Live!  The night filled to a sold out capacity perfect as the theatre lights drew the attention towards our special guests.  The moment when CARMAH took the stage to perform electrifying Rock hits from the 80’s and 90’s the crowd revved up and was ready to party. At midnight, LA SONORA SHOW, one of Latin music's biggest Cumbia and Merengue phenomenon, performed a wide variety of popular Latin hits as they carried the atmosphere with their pulsating and explosive Latin beats. There wasn’t a better place to ring in the New Year!
